5 simple ways to keep healthy joints

Just as a car needs fuel to need it running, each electronic product needs proper maintenance after a while; the joints in the human body also need proper care and upkeep to deal with the stressful lifestyles. For most of us are unaware about the presence of a fluid known as synovial (sin ö VI àl) fluid in our body. The fluid is present in places like shoulders, knees, elbows, hips and many other places. Thinking how does the fluid help in keeping your joints healthy. The sacks of the fluid cushion your joints and help movement avoiding friction. The non-movement of the joints cause the joints to become stiff and become a problematic situation.

Here are some tips that can help you keep your joint happy and healthy.

Work in the right position:

One of the most common problems comes with our working position. Most of us spend a lot of time sitting in front of our monitors. Sitting in one-position gives your joints, a lot of trouble, all one has to do is just to keep a few simple things in mind when you are at work. A few things to ensure that the chair is not too low, the higher the chair is you will have bend less to move in and out. If you stand more at work, make sure that you are not hunched over to write or type. Ensure that your elbows and forearms are comfortably supported and that the thighs are parallel to the ground slightly higher than your hips, by using a footrest. All these simple things will keep your joints intact for a pretty number of years to come.

Posture:

Keep a check on the posture. Although the human body has been designed to move and bend in different ways, but maintain a specific posture when in a position when continuously sitting in a position for long. By maintaining a good posture, you are helping your body to put less strain on your joints. Try to correct your posture. Make sure that you are standing in a straight position. Your back and neck will especially thank you, and good posture will help your shoulders, hips and knees from feeling tight.

Exercise to protect and strengthen your joints:

The simplest way to be healthy is to keep the joints healthy is by regularly exercising. Regular exercising helps in keeping your joints healthy and reducing stiffness.  Certain exercises like Squats and lunges can help strengthen the body and reducing pressure on the knees. Indulge:

Your joints like any other machinery need proper care and rest. The easiest way to maintain and upkeep your muscles are by taking a warm bath. The heat helps in soothing and relaxing the tired muscles. Warm bath helps in reducing the stress in the muscles and joints. Water gives the joints a needed break from supporting you and fighting gravity all at once. You can also choose a detachable shower head for focusing on the points, which feel stiffer. Paraffin baths are a great way to unwind and restore heat to get the needed massage.

Indulge in massages by professionals to improve mobility and improve the grip strength. Some people try therapies like aromatherapy, Acupuncture etc. to improve their joint health.

Follow a healthy diet:

Following a healthy diet is the key to having healthy joints. Take a number of supplements, which include calcium, vitamin D, Vitamin B 12. Start taking foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like fish and nuts. The foods rich in omega acids help in decreasing the pain in joints. Calcium can be obtained from a number of sources like milk, green vegetables like broccoli and spinach. Vitamin D helps the body to absorb the calcium from the food you eat. Vitamin D is easily available through sunlight.
