The new Hollywood movie “Couples Retreat” starring Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau has hit our screens with a buzz of initial excitement. We like to think that the plot doesn’t entirely reflect the real nature of a Spa holiday, but then it is meant to be a comedy. Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell play a pair desperately in need of relaxation and therapy to save their marriage, so they convince three other couples to accompany them to a tropical resort. One hitch: The other couples don’t realise that they’ll have to be in therapy, too. Headline star, co-writer and producer Vince Vaughan, who isn’t even married yet, seems to have been in enough relationships to craft a comedy about couples forced to confront their problems in a tropical resort.
