At the heart of Bali lies Ubud, a town known as the island’s cultural centre where life is village based, relaxed and mostly rural. The Estate is a 15-minute car ride from Ubud, and a one hour’s drive from Denpasar which is where Bali's international airport is located. Here you can get direct flights to and from Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Bangkok, Sydney as well as internal flights in Indonesia.
Location
At the COMO Shambhala Estate, all facilties cater to maximise your sense of peace, with a vast amount of space shared by deliberately few guests. Retreat to a quiet spring pool down by the River Ayung, or sit and read a book in one of the shady bales at Kedara. Wander down stone paths cut through the forest, or simply hang out by the main pool at Ojas positioned in the Estate's sunny clearing. We provide everything you could wish for a relaxing, stylish retreat from the world – and far more besides. All rooms and suites are set in Residences called Bayugita, Tirta, Ening, Tejasuara, and Wanakasa and Umabona.

Estate Suites
Like the Garden Rooms and Terrace Suites, each Estate Suite occupies a portion of one of COMO Shambhala Estate’s four- and five-suite Residences and includes access to the Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas. They are larger in size than the Garden Rooms, and have a strong residential feel, decorated with Indonesian artefacts
COMO Shambhala Suite
The supremely comfortable COMO Shambhala Suites constitute the principal master suite in each of the Residences at the Ubud spa hotel—each suite coming with its own clutch of Indonesian antiques and a private Jacuzzi. You also have access to the Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas.
COMO Suite at Umabona
The COMO Suite comprises the master suite at Umabona, the Residence whose name means ‘House of the Earth Son.’ The suite is decorated in grand style by our interior designer Koichiro Ikebuchi. Details consist of two king-sized master suites, a Jacuzzi and the suite’s own private infinity pool as well as small indoor plunge pool. Its living room provides ample space for casual entertaining, while the dining room makes the perfect place for romantic dinners for two or intimate family meals.
Graden Room
Occupying one of the Ubud spa resorts’ four- and five-suite Residences, our Garden Rooms are the most intimate we have, featuring king-sized beds and access to their Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas.
Terrance Room
Like the Garden Rooms, each Terrace Suite at our Bali spa hotel occupies one of our four- and five-suite Residences and affords access to the Residence’s shared pool, lounge and dining areas. The Terrace Suites also have their own private outdoor area—either a terrace or garden.

Food & Restaurants
Kudus House
serves breakfast and evening meals which showcase the diverse influences, flavours and spices of Indonesia’s many regions. It is a more intimate space than Glow, occupying a 150-year old Javanese former residence. At night, it offers a quiet, low key gourmet experience.
Glow
a contemporary, all-day dining restaurant featuring health conscious COMO Shambhala cuisine. Glow features an open kitchen, so you can watch as your delicious, nutritious food is prepared. Dishes featured of the menu include lime leaf chilli and coconut curry, seared mahi-mahi with baby zucchini, chickpea and mint salad with preserved lemon and sumac dressing.
