Dining
Waka di Ume’s restaurant, with its splendid views across the Balinese countryside, serves both Balinese specialities and international dishes. Complimentary afternoon tea and Balinese cakes are also served each day.
Location
Waka Di Ume is five minutes from the centre of Ubud and a 75-minute drive to Ngurah Rai International Airport. Ubud is the centre of Balinese arts and crafts, and is the best place to learn about the island’s unique local paintings, sculpture, music and dance and to pick up an excellent souvenir. Bali itself is a relatively small island of some three million inhabitants, sandwiched between Lombok to the east and Java to the west. Most of Indonesia’s Hindus live on the island, which has greatly influenced its distinct culture, while some of Bali’s best beaches are on the Nusa Dua peninsula, some 30 kilometres from the resort.
