Taj Spa is the first genuine Indian spa centre outside of the sub-continent and uses Vatsu design philosophy to create an oasis of calm using natural woods and stones in its over-water pavilions. The pavilions, which include a Welcome Pavilion, Yoga and Meditation Pavilion, Spa Boutique and VIP Spa Suite, are grouped around a central courtyard garden accessed by an ornate pergola. Each have private sundecks and relaxation spaces. There are also two couple’s spa suites.
Taj Spa offers a choice of Indian, royal and holistic experiences, plus an authentic Indian Ayurvedic programme. Expert spa practitioners provide holistic therapies using natural Indian herbal products and pure oils and creams. Signature Indian Royal Mud and Bathing Experience Pavilion – cross the stepping stones across the courtyard to find a luxurious haven, with a Turkish-style hammam, outdoor bathing experience, couple experience showers, contoured sunloungers on an above- lagoon deck along with relaxation spaces.
Ayurveda Sanctuary Pavilion - traditional Ayurveda treatments are offered in the two luxurious therapy suites. Consult the resident ayurvedic physician to tailor an individual treatment. Suites have private ritualistic bathing arena, Ayurveda steam experience, outdoor showers, treatment areas,plus a relaxation area and sun deck.
Heat, Hydro and Relaxation Experience Pavilion – features a sauna, Roman-style laconium and cold plunge pool plus a spacious relaxation deck with sunloungers, a covered seating area and an infinity-edged pool.
