‘The Jewel of Jaipur’, Rambagh Palace was built in 1835 and used for many years as a royal guesthouse, hunting lodge and later as a royal palace for the Maharaja of Jaipur. It remained the home of the Jaipur Royal Family until 1957 when it was first converted into a luxury hotel. Now run by Taj, it gives guests unbridled luxury, with impeccable style and service throughout, and also includes first-rate spa facilities. The palace’s 47 acres are home to freely roaming peacocks, and feature sprawling lawns, courtyards, domes and graceful arches. All 79 lovingly-restored guestrooms are furnished with rich fabrics and silk drapes, with plenty of local Rajasthan touches.
