Spa Programme and TreatmentsAll of the therapies on offer at the COMO Shambhala Estate are delivered by expert staff who are trained in specific methods, from Ayurveda to hydrotherapy. Much of their regime is Asian-inspired, paired with cutting-edge advances in holistic healthcare. The massages provided are designed to relieve muscle tension, help with injuries and cause deep relaxation. Some are dry massages while others use pre-blended oils.
Abhyanga is an hour-long rhythmic massage using warmed oils herbs which will loosens toxins and stimulate circulation to help expel them. This is followed by a fifteen minute application of herbal powder to exfoliate the body and enhance the properties of the massage. Your immunity is boosted and both the body and mind experience deep relaxation. You can increase the blissful sensation by having two therapists treating you at the same time.
Hydrotherapy treatments use water from “The Source”, a sacred spring located in the grounds of the estate and historically revered by local people for its healing, mineral-rich properties. In addition to this, a Vitality Pool is located at Ojas. Using a bio-energy water treatment system the heated water is chlorine-free and alkaline in make up. This provides a wonderfully therapeutic experience in water that contains multiple minerals. High pressure jets are employed for massage and exercise.
