In general hot temperatures dominate, peaking during mostly between the months of June till August, a period which coincides with the monsoon season, though this can vary from region to region. Check local weather by region before travelling.

Among the many spoken languages within the Maldives, Dhivehi and English are the main ones.

Currency
Maldivian rufiyaa [RF] is the local currency, but US dollars are also accepted.
