Tobago is an exotic paradise with captivating scenery, friendly islanders and picturesque beaches. Previously named the World's Leading Green Destination, Tobago boasts a quiet, simple and relaxing way of life. Some beaches are particular good for water sports, others have exquisite bars and restaurants along with quiet and secluded lazy afternoons.

The island offers a number of spa retreats, some of which come from the finest luxury spa resorts these including Coco Reef and Le Grand Resort and Spa. Visa Requirements
A visa is currently not required for British or Irish passport holders. This should be re-checked on booking for any changes. Passports must be valid for at least the duration of stay and you must have a return or onward ticket. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.

Weather
The tropical climate is tempered by northeast trade winds. The dry season is from November to May, but it is hottest between June and October. The climate in Tobago is pleasant most of the year and although May, June and July can be wet at times, the differentiation between the wet and dry seasons is much less acute.

Language
English is the official language in Tobago, though many speak a variety of dialects with Spanish, French, Hindi and African influences.

Currency
Trinidad-Tobago dollar, US dollars are widely accepted.

Electricity
Voltage: 110-120 Volts. Electrical sockets in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago are very similar to the electrical outlets found in the United States and Canada, and if your appliance has a North American plug, it's possible that you won't need any adapter at all in order to plug in there.

Vaccination & Health
No compulsory vaccine needed for travellers coming from Europe, but we strongly advise you to get vaccinated against hepatitis A and B, Yellow fever recommended for most travellers visiting Trinidad, but not recommended for Tobago, Measles, mumps, rubella and Tetanus- diphtheria. These vaccines are already recommended in your own country. As health requirements change please consult with your GP or a specialist.
